Celebrate Life’s Special Moments in the Buddha Boma
Looking for a unique venue for a wedding, vow renewal, birthday celebration, graduation, memorial gathering, or other special occasion? The Buddha Boma offers a peaceful and memorable setting surrounded by indigenous forest and Buddhist heritage.
Designed in the style of a traditional African boma, the venue is a circular enclosure nestled among eight sacred trees associated with key events in the Buddha’s life. Several of these trees were specially sourced from India, creating a unique environment where visitors can experience a miniature Buddhist pilgrimage without leaving South Africa.
At the centre of the Boma is a covered pavilion with seating for up to 25 guests. Additional seating can be arranged on the surrounding timber deck and in the garden, making the space suitable for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.
The nearby Labyrinth provides a meaningful feature that can be incorporated into ceremonies, reflection activities, commemorations, or group events.
Whether you are planning a wedding with a Buddhist flavour, renewing your vows, celebrating a milestone achievement, hosting a memorial gathering, or organising a spiritual retreat or pilgrimage, the Buddha Boma provides a distinctive and tranquil setting.
The Buddhist Retreat Centre can also provide vegetarian catering and accommodation for up to 54 guests. Additional accommodation is available nearby through local establishments such as the Amble Inn and Kings’ Grant.
